The most common barn sign: Mail Pouch Tobacco. Also includes US Flag with “One nation under GOD” and the Melo-Crown Stogies sign. They still stand, the painted barn and wall signs of yesterday. Some have been repainted, renewed. And some are in an advanced state of decay. And sadly many are gone. A once common method of advertising is slowly slipping away as are the barns and old buildings the signs were painted on.
