CONIFER FLOOR BLEND – 32 oz shaker bottle. Forest floors are very unique and are a blend of interesting components. Our Conifer Floor Blend matches those qualities by adding in the correct texture of foam along with the perfect amount of static grass so that you can model a convincing scene. The convenient 32oz sifter-shaker bottle allows you to control the right amount of product you wish to apply. Our Conifer Floor Blend is a darker and coarser foam. This gives you the feel you are looking for when laying down scenery for a forest floor. Don’t stop there. Every forest floor is different and you need to explore what materials will closely match the look you intend to model. Layering textures is the key when working with our Flock & Turf products.

Conifer trees don’t “leaf out” like other trees allowing the integrity of fallen foliage to be a darker green mix with subtle tones. Our Conifer Floor Blend is a good texture for completing your forest floor. Starting at the base of your forest and feathering inward, there are a number of different materials you can use. Our SuperTurf is the perfect material to layer onto the existing forest floor. This material will add volume to the mix and will add dimension to the scene. Place it down in small clumps and “lightly” enhance it with our fine FLOCK & TURF. This will help give the floor the shadows found there. Try using several colors but use it sparingly.

When using our Conifer Floor Blend you can consider using it as a “bottom dweller” in a slightly sunken area. You do not have to add a “wet” look; you only have to add a few detail items like the Straw Field Grass. Be careful to add only a few since you are looking to model an area that is rarely filled with moisture. Once the water evaporates, the vegetation dies and turns dark.
