This type of eating place has been a roadside icon since the 1940s and still survives today, serving hamburgers and ice cream in places where the fast-food franchises have not yet taken over. Kit depicts a typical drive-in that began as small walk-up ice cream stand, was built on to and evolved into a full menu fast food walk-up and dine-in restaurant typical of many that operated all over the U.S.A.
Kit features laser-cut exterior and interior walls, doors, window frames, floor, roof, and sign frames. Also included are pre-printed windows, roof vents, a great selection of authentic full-color walls signs taken from prototype restaurants, and a free-standing laser-cut sign for the roadside.
