DARK HUMMUS BLEND – 32 oz shaker bottle. This is a nice dark blend that fits well with the farm scene. The rich dark brown gives that fresh tilled soil look. A small amount of key elements adds to the feel of a freshly dug up field. Also goes well where a dark surface base is called for. Great to highlight grass mats where no contrasting color is present. The convenient 32oz sifter-shaker bottle allows you to control the right amount of product you wish to apply. Layering textures is the key when working with our Flock & Turf products.

The dark soil colors are very popular. When used as a base, the top layers become more vibrant and come to life without the need for overpowering the scene. Start with a sparse layer of the Dark Hummus blend. From there add a layer of our Forest Floor blend so that the Dark Hummus can been seen in open patches around the top layer. Now add some Buffalo Grass and snug it up close to the Forest Floor. Once you get a feel for the scene, take some Prairie Tufts and use only a few in the most opened spaces. This is the end or start of a project depicting a forgotten patch of earth. Similar to the area around a dune near the beach.
